Fabricaiton

At NYU, ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program), I had a great chance to work in our fabrication labs. I learned the skills of 3D scanning and 3D printing, carpentry, mold making, sewing and knitting. Getting hands on experience also gave me a way to transform the ideas in my mind to tangible objects. Building prototypes allowed me to evaluate, modify, and improve upon the projects.

Among all the materials, I found paper to be ideal for building models and sophisticated works. Now I am working with Sam Ita, a pop-up book artist and also moveable paper engineer. Our work includes moveable cards, a pop-up book of buildings, and origami airplanes.
