Gift Box & 3D Printing Ring
This is a birthday present for my friend. I made him a 3D printed ring that the shape is his silhouette with his initial on it. As he is into playing football, I made the box as a tiny football court with his cut-out figure on it. When he opened the box, the figure went to touch down.
Cards: for Heather
This card is for my thesis adviser at ITP. For showing our appreciation, on the cover her words said in the class were written. Under the cover is a dial. If rotating the dial, every classmates' signature was showed in the slot.
Cards: for Chris
This is another card for my teacher from the Department of Design for Stage & Film at NYU. The concept is the teacher's figure and his working desk. On the desk I put some small scale drafts showing what the teacher taught in the class. Also, I made some signages that could be hold on the hand of the figure with what the teacher has always said in the class. The signages could put between the layers of the card.
Other Card Projects
Folded Lamp
This is a pop-up lamp. It could be folded like a card and when you open the card, the lamp will pop up. Pull the tab to adjust the lightness of the lamp. I used a normal LED as the light source for the prototype. A bulb or super bright LED will be for the next version.
