“The Story of Ang” is the graduate project of my undergraduate education at Radio and Television Department, NCCU. In this work, I express my concerns for people and their situation in modern society, especially about children. The story is about a boy named Ang and his little adventure. One day Ang goes to his cram school, carrying the fee, but later he finds the money disappeared. For avoiding punishment from his mother, he thus decides to find or earn the money back by himself. On his way, Ang discovers the world is more complex than he has thought and being honest might not be the best policy. Ang has grown up during his adventure but he has also lost the innocence. In this film I want to discuss the difficulties children might face when they grow up and how they handle these difficulties with their unique point of view. I also want to challenge the principles of virtue. In the end of the story, Ang’s mother found she was in a dilemma. And I also hope audience may stop for a while and think again which the best choice is for Ang and his mother. In the portfolio, an extract of the movie is available. This 3-min video above tells a story about that Ang meets two teenagers when he tries to find his money in a park. Knowing Ang’s situation, these two strangers then ask Ang to help them, and they would give him 3,000 NT dollars in return. In this scene, I illustrated a incident that  influences Ang’s thought and his decision at last.
